The high quality cylinders used in printing machines manufactured by our company allows the improvement of both the precision and calibration of the printing process. This operation, essential to optimize the process, consists in overlapping the various plates of the printing machines in order to reach the readability of the whole range of colors.
Rotogravure printing process
These cylinders are exclusively intended for rotogravure printing machines.

Flexographic printing
We are specialized in the production of cylinders for flexography, a type of rotary, in-line printing method. Flexographic printing uses relief plates made of rubber, synthetic fiber or photopolymer material. This printing method is now widely used and suitable for packaging and other materials such as paper, carton, corrugated cardboard and film.
This is a specific technology in which the plates are wrapped around special cylinders and, with a light pressure, the ink is immediately transferred from the plate to the substrate to be printed.
Flexographic printing may be obtained by using sheet fed machines or rotary presses.
S.D.M. provides different size cylinders, with a variable number of cells suitable for both printing systems.
