Teflon coating of idle rollers is a coating treatment with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) that creates a non-stick, waterproof surface. PTFE greatly reduces friction and thus improves the flow and sliding of materials transported on the rollers. It also provides greater wear resistance and increases the working life of the rollers themselves.
